THE MAID

The kitchen was such a mess. The evening turned out to be horrible for Diana and James as their maid was on holiday for a week straight!

Just day one, and the home was such a huge mess. And I can’t believe how the end of the week will be! Diana rose from her sofa where she threw her bag as she entered home and sat on the sofa. such a horrible day. And she laid for a few minutes and looked at the clock, the time was 5pm. She got up and walked to the kitchen to fetch water and she saw her kitchen a mess. It was like how she had left in the morning for her work.

Nah! She returned to her sofa and sat there. I can’t believe and I have no energy left to do that stuff. She talked to herself. She then realized her children will be home and she had to make something for them for snacks. Hmm. had been the maid, Sara here, she would have done all that! She talked to herself and then left the place to make some for them.

Looking at the messed up kitchen for more than 10 minutes, she changed her mind and said, I will order something online. Burger with French fries and a vegetable salad for herself, the order was made and she waited for the order to be at her home. Her children came and the parcel too reached their place. And now, all of them sat together to have their snack.

A lot of things in their heads that happened at school and the evening went well. all of them went to their rooms to do their home works. And sara again ordered something form the store for dinner. She at her laptop loaded with works, now the whole house was in silence looking after their works.

The parcel arrived and it was 9pm and all arrived at the donning table to eat. James had already reached the home at that time and their wait over. James got freshed up and reached the table and Diana had already made the dine. All of them sat and started to have their dinner. Hmmm. looks like you have got food online, said, chis, their eldest son.

Ah! yeah! Diana said and had her first bite. Upon asking a series of questions, Dianna took him to the kitchen and have a look at it. He was now empty with words and had his food without any talk. The younger one was lazy to walk and hence never got involved in this. for him, it was the games he was always into!

The clothes unwashed and their uniforms to be dried, all the households were now upon Diana. Diana was upset and all of them joined hands to help her clean the messy kitchen.

5 more days to go! And I can’t wait! Diana screamed. days passed and they all were tired working at office and working here at home.  One day it was more hectic that Diana had to take a day off to make the things alright.

Only one day left! And all were happy faces and they all learnt a good lesson. It is not easy to be a home maker and it is that Maid is also one of the best jobs in the world, a noble job, they understood.

The day was the happiest when Sara came to work.

Ah! a week looked like a decade without you! They all celebrated her arrival, busted balloons, cut the cake and served her and they celebrated her presence at their home. Sara was amazed and was confused why they were celebrating. Sara and they all dined together for a lunch and had a great conversation about how her absence made their whole week a mess. They celebrated her and since then they always thought her as one of their family members.

One of the noblest professions, the housewife and the maid too plays the same role, but we pay her! the work is always difficult yet they do it without explaining and complaining. Learn to give them some space and some respect and do help her when she is sick and tired because , housewife is the only job in the world that has no leave or holiday, they can neither take one or ask for one! we, the people should ask and act accordingly to them.
