THE HARDEST CHOICES

 

The hardest choices require the strongest wills,

He said, as he hugged her pillow,

In fear of the darkness that I surrounded her.

I should have been there, instead of the pillow! 

He murmured, sleeping beside her.

Hmm, a sorry could have been okay,

To make things alright!

His angel Whispered into his ear,

Uh! Never let the love overrule you,

The devil whispered through the other side of the ear!

He shook from his bed,

And turned on the light,

Her tight hug over the pillow,

As she was fast asleep.

He hugged her despite the doubts he had,

She didn't hesitate,

Was that an 'Yes'?

He thinks to himself,

Just then, the rain poured

and the warm hugs gave its answer!
